This is my blogchalk:
United States, California, sometimes Steiermark, Austria, something bored teenagers say when they speak useless words into brick walls of cotton candy, English, German, Noreia, creative writing, fiction, reading, college student, strange, cat power, mogwai, arap strap, dresden dolls, white oleander, the earth, my butt, and other big, round things, welcome to the dollhouse, fuckers.
i should be at the mall buying those denim chuck taylor's . . . darn it, they're comfortable, even though every other person you meet between the ages of five and thirty-five is wearing them.
so much happening. i should be complete, should write in words, but i can't stand to leave that last entry as the latest. three hours of scans, i do not have cancer. apparently. and i'm off that crazy diet, which means i've been eating almost non-stop for the past week. there's this crazy-good sandwich bakery shop thing at the mall and i had their veggie feast for lunch two days in a row. man. i want one. i think i'm going to go.
less than a month and i'll be on a plane to austria. standing there on sunday, middle of the room, arm in arm and the climax of the song: "swing wide you heavenly gates!" and the beat gets harder, the strumming more wild and frantic, and i'm nodding, i'm tapping on the chair in front of me, and it sweeps over me -- you didn't have to do this, but you did. it was a totally spontaneous, effortless, irresistible gratitude, in waves. with glistening eyes i sang.
